Squad Complete, What’s Next?

I’ve Built My Team—What Should I Do Next?
If you have created your first squad in TFF Fantasy League but are unsure what to do next, this guide is for you! Let’s go through each step and get you ready for the Gameweek.
1- Set Your Tactics
You may have created your initial squad, but if you want to rack up points during the Gameweek, you will need to put your managerial skills to work.
Head to the My Team page and choose the formation that you believe will help your players score the most points. Your formation is one of the most important decisions you will make as a manager, as it directly affects how your points are calculated.
Once you have selected your formation, the next step is to choose your captain and vice-captain. Remember, the points scored by your captain are doubled. If your captain does not play at all, the captaincy bonus passes to your vice-captain. As you can see, identifying the player you expect to score the most points and selecting them as your captain is a crucial strategic decision.
After choosing your formation, captain, and vice-captain, it is time to set the order of your substitutes. But why does this matter?
In TFF Fantasy League, the substitute goalkeeper is followed by the remaining substitutes in positions 1, 2, and 3. If one of your starting players does not play at all and one of your substitutes does, the system automatically makes a substitution.
When making this change, the system follows the substitute order you have set. If your first substitute has not played, the system checks your second substitute. If that player has played, they are automatically brought into your starting eleven. Even if your third substitute has scored more points, they will not be brought on because they appear later in the substitute order.
Be careful, though: If bringing on a substitute would result in an invalid formation, the system will not make the substitution.
Finally, you need to decide whether to use a Manager Card for the Gameweek. Manager Cards give your team an extra boost during the Gameweek in which they are used. You can find more information about each card under the Manager Cards tab.
2- Make Your Nostradamus Predictions
You have set your tactics and think everything is done. Think again!
Visit Nostradamus to make your match predictions and earn points for your team—just like your players do. Before every Gameweek, you should visit this page, predict the results of the matches, and add to the points earned by your team.
You earn 1 point for submitting predictions for all nine matches in the Gameweek. You then receive an additional 1 point for every match result you predict correctly.
Remember that your rival managers will also visit Nostradamus before every Gameweek to collect these extra points. If you want to become a successful TFF Fantasy League manager, you need to make every available point count.
3- Review Your Transfers
As a manager, you should always be prepared for the unexpected.
You may have already built your team, but before the Gameweek begins, your players could get injured, be suspended, or experience a dip in form. New players may also join the clubs in the league.
That is why you should follow the latest news about players and clubs until the Gameweek begins and be ready to act quickly if something unexpected happens.
So, where can you take action? On the Transfers page, of course!
There is no limit to the number of transfers users can make in TFF Fantasy League. This means you can completely rebuild your squad every week. If something unexpected happens before the Gameweek, simply visit the Transfers page and bring your preferred player into your team.
4- Keep an Eye on the Countdown
Once you have completed the previous steps, all that remains is to follow the countdown on the Status page.
The countdown continues until one hour before the first match of the Gameweek kicks off. When it reaches zero, the system locks the My Points, My Team, Transfers, and Nostradamus pages and processes each user’s Gameweek data.
As you may have noticed, once the countdown ends, you can no longer make changes to your team or Nostradamus predictions. Make sure you keep a close eye on the remaining time.
One more thing: Manager Card purchases close 15 minutes before the countdown ends. Be sure to complete any purchases with this deadline in mind.
Finally, good luck!
